Expanding Your Range: A Character Workshop with Craig Cackowski

  • American Underground @ Market 212 W. Main St. Durham, NC, 27701 United States (map)

Workshop Description: Character in sketch comedy might mean funny wigs and glasses, but how do we create character in improvised scenes? And how do we develop and heighten those characters over the course of a scene, while still working with our partner? Craig will share a number of character-developing exercises, from the subtle to “over the top," and you’ll never be accused of “always playing yourself” again!

Workshop Length: 3 hours

Prerequisite: Improv 101 or the equivalent.

What Should I Bring? Wear comfy clothes and closed-toe shoes fit for movement. Please bring a notebook and pen/pencil. Bring a full water bottle.

Please read our Lab FAQ & Policies and Covid Policies before signing up for a class or workshop.
