WORKSHOP: The Back Line Ninja

  • Mettlesome Theater 800 Taylor St., Ste. 9-156 Durham, NC, 27701 United States (map)

Workshop Description: The role of the back line is to support the scene, but often times the back line adds confusion or takes center stage. A ninja off the back line adds so much to the scene without being noticed. This workshop will work on making sure our ideas off the back line are really supporting the scene and not ourselves.

Prerequisite: Improv 101 or an equivalent improv course.

Workshop Length: 2 hours

What Should I Bring? Wear comfy clothes and closed-toe shoes fit for movement. Please bring a notebook and pen/pencil. Bring a full water bottle.

Please read our Lab FAQ & Policies and Covid Policies before signing up for a class or workshop.

Instructor: Corey Brown (he/him) has been improvising since 1998. He taught for six years at the Upright Citizen's Brigade in NYC and is happy to bring that knowledge back to Mettlesome.
