Workshop Description: Are you looking for ways to bring more of yourself into your improv scenes? Trying to get a handle on staying in the moment? Want to work on grounding your base reality? Let’s explore the elements of bringing acting to improvising in this workshop!

Workshop Length: 2 hours

Prerequisite: Improv 201 or the equivalent.

What Should I Bring? Please wear comfy clothes and closed-toe shoes fit for movement. Bring a notebook and pen/pencil for taking notes. Bring a full water bottle.

About the Instructor: Thaddaeus Edwards (he/him) is an actor and improviser based in Durham, NC. He has worked with numerous Triangle-area theater companies (and beyond) for more than 20 years. He has been a member of Mettlesome’s own Well Seasoned and the indie team The Novelty. In addition to appearing on local stages, he also has worked regularly as a Standardized Patient actor at Duke University School of Medicine, which he describes as the close-up magic version of acting and improvisation.
