Workshop Description: Let's get spooky. This workshop will teach you the fundamental tools needed to do the classic improv form The Bat. In a Bat, improvisers tune their listening to 150% and create a completely auditory improvised world.
This workshop will culminate in a half-hour Bat performance scheduled for Thursday, October 29, 9PM at Mettlesome Theater.
Workshop Length: 2 hours
What Should I Bring? Wear comfy clothes and closed-toe shoes fit for movement. Please bring a laptop or notebook and pen/pencil for taking notes. Bring a full water bottle.

About the Instructor: Jack Reitz (he/him) is an actor, writer, and improviser based in Durham, NC. He has been studying improv since 2004, first with the DSI Comedy theater in Chapel Hill, NC, and then with the UCB Theater and The Magnet Theater in NYC. Jack has appeared on stage in Durham, Chicago, and NYC and in various film work, including appearances on ABC and MTV.
For seven years, he toured nationally (and internationally) as part of Catharsis Productions' show "Sex Signals," which uses scripted and improvisational comedy to address issues of sexual assault in the military and on college campuses. He is a co-founder of Mettlesome, teaches improv classes and coaches teams, and can be seen performing with Mettlesome house team Hush Hush.
