Course Description:
The key to every improv scene is finding "the game," but what is it? This workshop will teach you the basics of creating an improv scene and then discovering the elements that make the scene special.
Age Range:
Individuals who are 13 to 17 years old.
Prequisites:
None needed.

What Should I Bring?
Water and a notebook for general note-taking. Wear comfy clothes and shoes fit for movement.
Instructor:
Cary LaMay has been teaching improv since 2011. He has performed in both shortform and longform improv at various venues and festivals across the East Coast. Since 2017, he has served as a judge at the North Carolina High School Improv Competition.
Cary has taught improv to groups both young and old including a Pre-K class, Girl Scouts, college students, and corporate employees. His greatest appreciation for improv lies in its ability to impart lessons such as listening, acceptance, and teamwork that can be applied to various aspects of life beyond the theater!
