Asian AF Improv Workshop: Limitations Create Style

  • Mettlesome 800 Taylor Street Suite 9-156 Durham, NC, 27701 United States (map)

Do you ever feel not smart or talented enough compared to all those “geniuses” you see on stage? They move so fast, they’re so funny and supportive, I can’t keep up!

This type of thinking can feel like a major block... but if you use it right, it can become your superpower, and the key to how you play.

Come to this workshop to experience how your “limitations” can become your biggest asset. Let’s alchemize what’s holding you back from true PLAY. Led by Florence Friebe.

Prerequisites: Students are required to have taken Improv 101 or equivalent. If you have any questions about this policy, you may contact us here.
Instructor:

Florence Friebe is a comedian/actress/singer/Victorian ghost who can be seen performing regularly with Asian AF, Cereal Mascots, the Armory's current longest running house team, heard on Sounds Funny Radio, an improv podcast alongside some of the city’s best improvisers and creating new forms with Looper, an improvised scene on repeat. She has been entrenched in the NYC comedy scene since 2012 and has been spotted sitting in your spooky attic window.
