LOOK DIFFERENT is a quarterly meetup for Triangle documentarians, generously supported by the Southern Documentary Fund. Come through!

Okay, documentarians and doc-curious film folks, LOOK DIFFERENT is back and we want to see 6 seconds of what you’re working on. Inspired by the much-missed and truly weird 2010s video sharing site VINE, we want you to give us 6 seconds of…anything you’ve created. Why? So we can throw it on the big screen at Mettlesome Theater.

How it’ll work: 1) you, my dear creator (lower-case ‘c’), will upload a 6 second clip. Anything from a project you are working on or worked on and want to tell folks about. Don’t overthink it. Just grab 6 seconds. And send it to saleem@kidethnic.com with subject ‘VINE FILES.’ Drop a comment on the RSVP page once you've uploaded so they can be sure to check for it!

2) On Oct. 8, we’ll put it on a big screen in one big crazy scroll. And all get together in the room and watch it together. And talk about all our work. Why? It’s a lightweight, fun, easy way for everyone in the scene to get a tiny glimpse of what we are all up to and get some conversations (and collaborations?) going.

And yes, it’s okay to just come watch, but even more fun to share. Should be a fun experiment!

Free Admission, but please RSVP here.
