Durham FRINGE brings more than 50 Durham-based artists to more than 20 downtown venues over 10 days.

Elise Janson & Willie Hinton (Dance): There is no map for becoming. We move through shifting landscapes, drawn toward places we cannot yet name, carrying questions that refuse simple answers. Suspended between certainty and surrender, the work explores the spaces where hesitation meets courage and the familiar gives way to possibility.

Movement becomes a language for navigating what cannot be predicted, revealing moments of resistance, resilience, discovery, and change. Paths intersect, diverge, and emerge again, reflecting the countless ways we encounter uncertainty throughout our lives. Rather than seeking definitive answers, the choreography embraces the beauty of searching, inviting the unknown to remain open, expansive, and alive.
