What is Clown Jam?
Led by Mettlesome Instructor and Formally Trained Clown Katie Rebich, Clown Jam is for the newly curious and well-seasoned clown. It's a community collaboration for 1.5 hours to play and explore clown. It is not a workshop, and there is little instruction. This is a time to experiment with games, exercises, and pieces you want feedback on.
The evening will typically include general body warmups, theatrical and improv games, and theatrical clown exercises.
The Only Rules:
1.) Adults only. Kids already know how to be clowns. They don't need this. We do.
2.) No spectators. If you are there, you are playing. It's hard to reach the level of vulnerability that clown requires if you are being constantly perceived.
