Ever wondered what happens behind the scenes at Saturday Night Live? Even if you have no writing or comedy experience, you will be writing strong comedy sketches in no time!
In Sketch 101, students will learn the basics of sketch comedy. Over the six week course, we'll explore the principles of sketch structure, scene dynamics and characterization, and learn a variety of sketch formats.
Each week, students will get to put the lessons into practice with writing assignments, and will have the opportunity to give and receive feedback in an open writers' room workshop format.
Classes every Monday, June 23 - July 28 from 7:00-9:30pm. The class showcase will be Saturday, August 2nd at 3:30pm.
Please read our Lab FAQ & Policies and Covid Policies before signing up for a class or workshop.
