Learn the core concepts of longform comedic improv. Students will cover scene-work mechanics like editing, tag-outs and heightening in the context of game of the scene. Over this seven-week period, we'll build the groundwork for comedic moves that will elevate your scenes.
Classes every Wednesday, June 14 - July 26. Class show TBD.
Prerequisites: Students are required to have taken Mettlesome's 101: Intro to Improv. Students wishing to apply for an exception (ie who have documented prior, relevant improv experience) may do so by emailing hello[at]thisismettlesome.com

Instructor Brandon Holmes
Brandon Holmes was first exposed to improv comedy when he tried out for the then-newly-formed troupe at his alma mater, Presbyterian College in 2010. He made it! And loved every single minute of it!
Improv has taken him all over the country, to bar mitzvahs and nondenominational lock-ins, block parties and watermelon eating contests, New York City and on top of a bank vault in Kinston, NC (what a night). Brandon works at Duke. On any given day, you can probably find several hairs from his beloved scrappy junkyard mutt dog, Miso, on his jeans. Brandon loves music, but he's not crazy about podcasts.
Brandon has studied with Paula Pazderka, Jeremy McDonald, and taken workshops with Rick Andrews, Chet Siegel, and Charna Halpern (legend).
