Learn the basics of long-form improv. Students will cover scenework principles like "yes-and" and active listening. Over this six-week period, we'll build the groundwork for comedic improvised scenes that'll jumpstart your love of improv.

COVID-19 Policy For Classes
All participants must show proof of vaccination prior to the start of the first session in order to participate in this class. Weather permitting, classes will be taught outdoors. Otherwise classes will be held indoors with masks required in accordance with local guidelines.

ABOUT LAUREN FOSTER-LEE
Lauren Foster-Lee is a Durham based actor and vocalist. She studied at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and a minor in Vocal performance. Lauren is a classically trained lyrical soprano and has sang with several choirs in the Triangle and Triad. Some of her recent acting credits include: The Radio in Caroline or Change, the Narrator in Black Nativity, Charlotte in Oliver, Lady in Orange in For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf, and Hope Daley in Silver Lining. Lauren has been performing with Mettlesome since it’s founding. She has performed with Improv Noir and Golden Age. Lauren was also featured in a full length run of an improvised play called The Setup. She is currently a performer with Mettlesome's "Golden Age."
