This six week class offers an introductory dive into the creation of original performance work. Rather than starting with words on a page, we’ll start with bodies in space as the instruments and building blocks for a performance.
What makes a captivating performance? Presence, embodiment, rhythm, environment, tension, relationship to the audience, and the list goes on. Drawing from traditions of Viewpoints, Suzuki, and Clown, we’ll be on our feet and moving most of class. This class is great for actors, improvisers, dancers, writers, and anyone who wants to incorporate new ways of storytelling into their creative practice.
All experience levels are welcome.
