Sketch Workshop with Achilles Stamatelaky: Hmm, Seems Pretty Sketchy (SOLD OUT)

  • American Underground 201 West Main Street Durham, NC, 27701 United States (map)

In this workshop, students will learn the basics of sketch comedy: from starting with half an idea to developing a strong comedic premise, and fully heightening and exploring it in a smart (and fun!) way. We’ll learn creative techniques and best practices for sketch writing, but also how those principles overlap with improv and other types of creative work. This workshop is tailored both to students who have never written a sketch before and those who want to push their skills to a higher tier.
