Ross White is the author of How We Came Upon the Colony (Unicorn Press, 2014) and The Polite Society (Unicorn Press, 2017). With Matthew Olzmann, he edited Another & Another: An Anthology from the Grind Daily Writing Series. His poems have appeared in American Poetry Review, Best New Poets 2012, Poetry Daily, New England Review, The Southern Review, and others. He is a recipient of scholarships from the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference and Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference in Sicily, and currently teaches poetry writing and grammar at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is the Poetry Editor for Four Way Review.

Ashley Nissler lives in North Carolina with her husband, two daughters, and a freaked-out cat. She spends her time reattaching Barbie heads and rehabilitating one-legged Polly Pockets. When she's not momming about, she writes. At the moment she is working on a novel and practicing poetry.


ABOUT Bull City Press

Bull City Press was born in 2006. We currently publish a small quarterly magazine, Inch, and poetry chapbooks through the Frost Place Chapbook Competition. In 2015, we launched a line of fiction and nonfiction chapbooks when we merged with Origami Zoo Press.  Our executive director is Ross White and our associate editors are Brittany Cavallaro, Rebecca Hazelton, Rebecca King, Matthew Olzmann, and Noah Stetzer.
