301: Sketch Comedy Revue

Taking the skills from 101 and 201, this course puts you in the writers room to learn the rhythms, tasks, and considerations when pulling together an original sketch comedy revue.

Classes every Monday, January 8 - February 19 (skipping Monday, Jan 15 for MLK Day). Showcase week of Feb 25 - Mar 2.

INSTRUCTOR

Sean McEwan is a writer, filmmaker, and improvisor based in Chapel Hill, NC. He has been studying sketch and improv since 2013, first with the Dallas Comedy House in Dallas, TX, and later with Second City.

Sean has performed in Dallas, Toronto, New York, and Durham. His film work ranges from Pixar, Marvel, and Disney, to projects directed by Guillermo del Toro, Aaron Sorkin, and more. In 2015 he played the lead role of Elliot Stabler in the sketch show "Law & Order: The SVUsical". He recently wrote and produced the sketch show "Romance is Dead" at Mettlesome. He films and produces online sketch comedy with his sketch group "Hey, Thanks" (link here: youtube.com/heythankscomedy).

In addition to sketch, Sean also performs improv locally with his improv group 3ft Pizza Baby.
